Lukas Weber – The Emotional Hub

At the age of eleven Lukas Weber was a good and passionate tennis player. In Tirol he even was the best. 13 years later he belongs to Austria’s volleyball elite. Both sports have one thing in common: the ball needs to go over the net. At the same time the two sports cannot be more different: “In tennis it was just me on the court. When Lukas Weber started to play volleyball (his former complementary

Miljkovic – Serbia’s Scoring Machine

He probably is the best diagonal player in the world, superstar, top-earner, model athlete, Serbia’s poster-boy for several years - and in September one of Austria’s opponents at the CEV European Championship 2011: Ivan Miljkovic.

The 31-year-old Miljkovic shamelessly took advantage of the fact that there are no regulations limiting the biceps circumference of volleyball players. The 2.07-metre giant in the ranks of Fenerbahce Istanbul has to carry quite a massive ‘package’ on his upper arms – a true weapon that is dreaded all over the world and won him the top-scorer award at many tournaments and his teams numerous titles. His opponents do not only dread the power of his hits but also their variability. In addition, the tall Miljkovic who has an impressive six-pack also has an enormous explosiveness.

Ivan Miljkovic is Champions League winner and Olympic Champion (2000), European Champion (2001), third in the World Championship (2010) and he won silver twice in the World League (2003
